Wheel Disassembly Stand

Published by Sales on

Introduction

During routine maintenance of aircraft wheels, it is necessary to remove a ring of bolts from the hub to separate the tire from the hub. Since small tires are narrower and lighter in mass, they are prone to tipping over and slipping during the bolt – removal process. In contrast, large tires have a large diameter and high mass, and if they tip over during the bolt – removal process, it is very likely to cause damage to people and property. Therefore, using a wheel – disassembly stand to fix tires in a vertical state on a base plate or trolley can prevent accidental skidding or tipping, and can improve the efficiency of maintenance and repair.

Function

The heel disassembly stand drives the cylinder by compressed air, driving the tire – fixing rotary arm to move, and presses and fixes tires of different sizes. The equipment includes a movable trolley that can move left and right along the track on the bottom plate and is fixed on the bottom plate with a latch to form 2 stations. When the trolley is located on the left – most side, the circular surface on its side can be fitted with the tire surface with a diameter greater than 700mm to assist in positioning. When the trolley is located on the far – right side, its upper circular surface is used for placing tires with a diameter less than 700mm.
